Hitachi Travel Device Maintenance
Hitachi travel devices use a modular design where the hydraulic motor and gearbox are separate units. When diagnosing issues:
If the track moves but makes noise → problem is in the gearbox (final drive)
If the track doesn't move at all → check the travel motor first
If both sides are slow → check hydraulic pump pressure
